Lexington, South Carolina, is a town in Lexington County. It’s Lexington County’s county seat, and it’s the largest city in the county. The community was named for the Battle of Lexington in Massachusetts. Lexington has a population of approximately 21,000 people.

East Towne Centre is where you can shop for groceries or grab something to eat. There, you’ll find retailers like Buffalo Wild Wings, Walmart, Dollar Tree, and other venues. Body Shop Athletics offers exercise programs for people of all ages. Some of its programs include a tennis club, agility training, boot camps, and much more. Learn about Lexington County’s history at Lexington County Museum. Many of its exhibits are dedicated to German and Swiss cultures. Icehouse Amphitheater is the place to watch outdoor concerts. It’s able to sit up to 900 people. Lexington has 22 schools: 13 elementary schools, five middle schools, and four high schools.
